We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Estimator with a strong background in industrial piping and food & beverage processing projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately estimate complex projects up to $10 million in value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical and piping estimates for industrial and food/beverage facilities.
• Review and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and other construction drawings.
• Perform material takeoffs, labor estimates, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure scope clarity.
• Prepare comprehensive bid packages and participate in bid reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to:
  • Lift and/or carry/move up to 40lbs
  • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Perform repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms
  • Visit job sites and perform duties with and around hazardous and/or flammable materials, as well as monitor heavy equipment and machinery
  • Complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner

• Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, slippery or uneven walking surfaces
• May perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
• This position is subject to ergonomic testing

Additionally, this position is designated as safety sensitive because it includes as part of the job duties operating a motor vehicle and working around heavy equipment and machinery. These positions are ones in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.  For the safety and health of yourself and other personnel, you must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while working around heavy equipment and machinery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical piping estimating.
• Proven experience estimating projects up to $10M.
• Strong understanding of industrial and food/beverage piping systems.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, P&IDs, and construction drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working on projects involving process piping, sanitary piping systems, plant utilities to include pneumatics, steam and condensate piping, hydronic piping, and other industrial plant construction.
• Familiarity with fabrication and installation practices
