Accounting Specialist

SPRINGDALE, AR

SUMMARY

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting in maintaining the company's financial records by supporting AP, sales tax, and general accounting.

  • Enter accounts payable invoices in our computer system in accordance with the terms negotiated with each vendor
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any differences
  • Assist AP Lead with maintaining appropriate W-9s and certificates of insurance
  • Understands sales tax process to provide backup assistance
  • Assist with accounting functions relating to month-end close
  • Maintain monthly GL reconciliations
  • Timely and accurate preparation of weekly and monthly reporting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by management, including administrative back-up as needed


ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Work performed in office environment. 

Requires manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator, stooping,

bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry/move up to 20lbs

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

Must be able to perform repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms
